August is a great month for getting the last of the summer produce. Enjoy every bit while you can! Okra is abundant at the market now and the corn will last for a few more weeks. Mouth- watering cantaloupes, watermelons, peaches, and field grown tomatoes are also plentiful. Local honey and soaps, goat cheese products, and delicious freshly baked breads and desserts are year-round staples as well as healthy meats (Angus grass-fed beef, pastured pork, free range chicken, rabbit and the other red met, ostrich). Prepared foods (salsas, soups, dips, jams, jellies, and pickles) are at the markets each week. Cut flowers and plants for decorating or for your garden are available through fall. Our newest vendors offer shaved ice drinks in various flavors and a variety of gourmet popcorn. Handmade pottery and jewelry can be found each week on Saturday. Join us this Saturday as Tim Wilson sings while you shop at the market! We always look forward to seeing you there! (Monday 2-5:30, Thursday 9-1, and Saturday 8-12) Our market card is always available on the gallery page of the website with times, locations, and dates oron the newly created app “Visit NC Farms”.
