Janice Roberts will be at the market Saturday, September 14th, for a food demo using fresh veggies for a stir-fry. She will be at the market from 9:30 -11:30. Be sure to stop by for your free sample. Farmers at the market dodged a bullet with the last storm and have plenty of fresh vegetables for the market. New crops of squash, beans, lettuce, and winter greens are in along with winter squash, kale, and mustard greens. Egg plants, peppers, onions, and grapes are plentiful now along with local honey, goat cheese spreads, and pickles, jams, and jellies. Stock up on healthy meats for your meals (Angus grass-fed beef, pastured pork, ostrich, chicken, and rabbit). Fall plants for your garden are ready along with new plants of fall sunflower varieties. Join us each Monday, Thursday, and Saturday for local and fresh choices!
